Being a landlord isn’t always easy.  It can be very challenging and there are often difficult decisions to make.  When it comes time to evict a tenant, many landlords struggle with filing the correct forms, and even filling them out properly.  Other landlords attempt drafting lease agreements without fully reviewing or understanding what is required by the law. Some landlords never even bother drafting a written lease at all.  All of these problems lead to increased costs and litigation for an unwary landlord.  At Jackson, Jackson & Kurtz, we aim to assist you in handling all of the various issues faced by landlords in Washington State.

We primarily represent landlords who need legal assistance with evictions and offer guidance on how to comply with Washington’s Residential Landlord Tenant Act (RLTA).  The RLTA provides for very specific duties and notice requirements that landlords need to follow. Interpreting the RLTA can be a daunting task, but at Jackson, Jackson & Kurtz, we can help you navigate through the various complex provisions to ensure that you are in compliance with the law.  From evictions and security deposits to drafting and reviewing lease agreements, we will work to ensure that your interests are protected while keeping costs to a minimum.
